As you can see, we didn’t let a few unexpected rain drops dampen our parade!

And after some dancing in the rain, we moved right along to singing…with Lady Gaga keeping the energy up (thanks Mom!)

We just had to swing out (sister!) on the new playset in the backyard…

…and finally relax for some big hugs. Thanks again M. and C. for being so very fun to hang out with and to photograph! And thanks again to Mom and Dad for having me to capture your sweet girls again. Let’s wish for a never-ending summer. I’m not quite ready for those cool winds to blow in!

Green grass and a clear blue sky along with some of their favorite things brought out the beautiful shine in 9-month old N. and two-year old M.’s sparkling personalities.

And I’m so very glad we had a chance to catch N.’s roly-poly babyness – and his brand spankin’ new teeth!

I seriously *love* a good chase, followed by those quiet moments…

These two very funny and very smart young brothers were kind enough to show me around their backyard, and before you knew it, we were off!

And Mom, I’m happy to say I did capture some unguarded smiles in between all the serious hijinks!!!

It’s always nice when I can get Mom in the portraits, too–it wouldn’t be the perfect gift for Dad without her! I want to thank you all–Mom, J. and N. for a really super session. And thanks for the breaks in the cool air and for hanging in there when it got a little too darn hot. I’m hoping Dad will have a nice surprise when he opens his gift. Happy Father’s Day to you and yours!

It was so very nice and easy to get to know you all. Thank you very much J. and M. for showing me around, and for letting me keep up with you. A very special thanks to mom and dad for allowing the girls and I to run a “little” wild, and I can’t forget Grandma J. for her help, too. The pleasure was truly all mine—you are one fantastic family!

Miss K. and Miss L. welcomed me into their sun-filled nursery. I can see how happy they are in their spring fresh surroundings.

K. was nice enough to show me around, so I couldn’t help but follow…

And L. gave me that cutey pie look and then the “Aha!” moment — “I remember YOU!”

Such sweet little kids, and ditto that on the whole entire family! Thanks again Nancy for allowing me to capture the new nursery design along with the next chapter in your girls’ lives. Looking forward to catching up with Mr. A. again from behind my camera real soon.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t share my favorite kind of portrait — the “kids being kids” shot that helps tell the whole story — the ups, the downs and the “are we done yets?” I must thank R. and her lovely family for allowing me to capture all the action. I truly hope that granddad will wear a great big smile when he receives his gift. Viva la cousins!

I was excited to see the beautiful light we had indoors and out, and a very warm fall day to boot. I really love that we could mix up locations to tell the whole story of Miss C. and Miss M.

Round and around and around she goes…where she stops…nobody knows…

Then it’s outside to make some holiday wishes with mom’s mums (thanks mom!). A very big thanks again to these sweet girls, mom and dad for a whirlwind session. I could have kept going all day : )  So looking forward to our next session…can’t wait!

You all must know by now how I do love twin toddler energy, having a set of toddler boys at my house. I personally think it’s fascinating to see just how fast they can move in opposite directions : )

Just loved that we had such a beautiful fall afternoon to catch all the family fun. Thanks to mom and dad for being flexible around all that rainy fall weather. Lots to celebrate during this session (below) — a double birthday weekend for this brother and sister who aren’t twins (imagine that!) and a family holiday portrait session to boot. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing this very handsome family for all these special occasions rolled up into one. Especially love Miss M.’s effortless smile (takes after her mom) and please tell Mr. J. I’m so glad he “didn’t” smile…just kidding…gotcha! And I was thrilled to get a truly shining portrait of mom and dad together–when’s the last time you and yours had the pleasure?! Beautiful day, beautiful family–so happy I got to know you all better on our walk to the park!

And these three sibling superheroes (below) possessed amazing powers, and I basked in the glow of all that energy! How could I not have fun chasing super kids around their backyard?
